Here are a few things to keep in mind before your initial visit to make the process as smooth as possible.
New Patient Registration – When you first visit us, you will be given a Registration Form to fill where all of your Personal Information, Medical History, etc is entered which will be of use to maintain your records as well as to register you as our Patient. Your privacy is important to us, so please know that we will never share your information with any third parties.
⦁ In order to set up your patient profile and guarantee the best service, you will need to bring a few things to your first appointment. We will need to see: -

IMPORTANT – Most of our patients are adults. Any patients under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation visit. Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e., diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are currently taking any medications (i.e., heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.).

First Appointment – We will go through your Dental History and give you a complete and a comprehensive examination. X-Rays will be taken if required to assist in the checkup. Once it is done, we will be providing you with the complete treatment plan and we will discuss these treatment options and plan the treatment accordingly. The treatment could be either started the same day or another appointment is fixed on a mutually decided date and time.

• Reduce sugary snacks: the risk of developing tooth decay increases as the amount and frequency of sugar consumption rises.
• Brush twice a day: keeping teeth clean by regular brushing helps prevent decay. Children's brushing should be supervised until the age of seven. Ask your dentist for more advice. If you are a parent, it's really important to start teaching your child oral hygiene habits as soon as their first baby teeth come through (usually around 6 months old).
• Use fluoride toothpaste: all children up to three years old should use toothpaste with a fluoride level of at least 1000ppm, both morning and night. From three to six years old, their toothpaste should contain more than 1000ppm. For children six years and older, the recommended amount is between 1350ppm-1500ppm.
• Visit the dentist on a regular basis: ask your dentist how often you should visit and keep your appointments, if oral health problems are spotted early, then they can often be dealt with much easier. Your dentist can answer any questions you have about the best way to look after your child's teeth.
• Watch out for 'hidden' sugars: pure fruit juices can be a healthy choice, but the natural sugars these contain can still damage teeth. If you are offering fruit juice, drink it with a meal and only in a small glass 
• Your dentist or hygienist can show you how best to brush your teeth and give you advice and support on having a good oral hygiene routine.
